The View from Badhwar Park

I was in New York when 9/11 happened and in London when the 7/7 bombings happened, but Bombay is my hometown, my birthplace, my love. The last place I lived here before leaving for America was Badhwar Park -- opposite the fishing village where the boat laden with explosives was recovered and where the terrorists landed. My last memories of being a resident of this city have always been of waking up in the mornings to go into my balcony to out to look at the sea and the boats, checking the tide. Although I stayed away from "ground zero" for months, I went eventually to Badhwar Park -- needing badly to refresh that image in my brain. I lied to the watchmen at the gate saying I was visiting "Mr. Khanna" and walked up to the top floor and looked until I couldn't any more. Unlike the Taj, Oberoi or Nariman House, there were no signs of what had happened. It all looked exactly as I remembered it -- this time, I shot photographs to keep the memories from fading.

The views from Badhwar Park is a superb view to watch. You cannot get this view from even one of the best places elsewhere. The way in which you have written the article seems that you miss this park a lot. go here

These views of Taj and Gateway are simply not possible from Badhwar Park, since it is situated diagonally opposite the frontage shot. Whereever, Ms Jaishri got her pics from, they were not from Badhwar Park
